The NIH Toolbox for Assessment of Neurological and Behavioral Function will provide investigators with a brief, but comprehensive measurement tool for assessment of cognitive function, emotional health, sensory and motor function.  It will provide an innovative approach to measurement that will be responsive to the needs of researchers in a variety of settings, with a particular emphasis on measuring outcomes in clinical trials and functional status in large cohort studies, e.g. epidemiological studies and longitudinal studies

No. Use of The Toolbox is voluntary. The project will be undertaking extensive outreach efforts to obtain as much stakeholder input as possible to help ensure that the tools are as useful as possible to potential users.
